Transportation

Tall Pines provides transportation to most areas of South Jersey, the Jersey Shore and Center City Philadelphia. All of our campers arrive comfortably in air-conditioned vehicles. Certified, experienced, and mature drivers who follow stringent safety regulations provide transportation. Our insurance company checks each driver's driving record on an annual basis.

Our Director customizes each transportation route and hand selects the driver and van counselor. We do not use an outside transportation company. All of our drivers are Tall Pines employees. All pick-up and drop-off times listed below are approximate and subject to change. If you do not see your area listed please contact our office.

South Jersey — Campers in New Jersey are picked up at their door in air-conditioned 15-passenger vans. Campers that live relatively close to camp may be picked-up in a Senior Staff member's vehicle if van transportation is not available. Campers in Marlton, Medford & Moorestown and Camden counties are picked up between 8:00 and 8:30 AM and dropped off between 4:30 and 4:45 PM. Campers in Gloucester, Salem and Cumberland County are picked up between 8:30 and 9:00 AM and dropped off between 4:20 and 4:45 PM. All times vary depending upon your location.

Philadelphia — In Philadelphia, there are over 19 vans and we pick up at central stops in Society Hill, Queen Village, Rittenhouse Square, Fitler Square, Washington Square, Fairmount and South Philadelphia. Most stops are within walking distance of our camp families homes'. Campers are picked up between 8:00 and 8:30 AM and dropped off between 4:20 and 4:45 PM depending upon your location.

At the Shore — Tall Pines provides door-to-door transportation in Atlantic City, Ventnor, Margate, Longport, Linwood and Northfield. Campers are picked up between 8:00 and 8:15 AM and dropped off between 4:30 and 4:45 PM depending upon your location.

The Shore Shuttle — For those families that need an occasional ride to the beach on Fridays, Mondays and the July 4th holiday week there is the Shore Shuttle. For $15 per seat the Shore Shuttle drops off campers at 4:45 PM at the Margate Library each Friday that camp is open. It picks up campers at 8:15 AM on Monday mornings at the Margate Library. During the July 4th holiday week the Shore Shuttle runs every day. The Shore Shuttle frequently sells out so make sure to book it in advance when possible by using the Shore Shuttle Form.

Extended Hours — For those families that need to get to work a little earlier or won't be home in time to meet their child's driver we offer extended care at camp. Families are welcome to drop-off their child as early as 7:30 AM. Campers are welcome to stay as late as 5:30 PM until their family picks them up. You are welcome to use both the AM and PM extended hours or just one. If you use only one half of the extended hours program Tall Pines will provide transportation for the other half. As always, campers are well supervised by Tall Pines staff members.

Self Transportation Discount - $40 per week per camper. Campers may be dropped off between 9:10 AM and 9:25 PM and must be picked up by 3:45 PM.

Second Seat — Some of our campers reside in two homes or need to be picked up at work. For those families that require transportation to a second location we are able to accommodate those in need for a fee of $400.00. Please call our office to make sure that we provide transportation to either homes or business locations.
