Tall Pines provides transportation to most areas of southern New Jersey, the Jersey Shore, and Center City Philadelphia. Most of our campers ride in newer, air-conditioned buses. All campers are picked up at central locations.

Download the list of last summer’s central locations below. The buses are driven by certified and experienced drivers. All drivers are Tall Pines employees, and the director hand-selects each driver and bus counselor. Each year we perform a criminal background check and driver abstract on all drivers. Shore Shuttle - Tall Pines Day Camp

The Shore Shuttle [Weekend Transportation]

  • For those parents who need a little “R & R” on the beach before the kids get home, or if you want to extend your weekend, family time at the beach, then the Shore Shuttle is for you.
  • The Shore Shuttle [an air-conditioned school bus] travels to the Margate Library on Friday PM, Monday AM, and the days surrounding the July 4th holiday.
  • The Shore Shuttle drops off campers at 4:45 PM on Friday afternoons.
  • The Shore Shuttle picks up campers at 8:15 AM on Monday mornings.
  • Each trip on the Shore Shuttle costs $20 per child.
  • The Shore Shuttle frequently sells out on Fridays.
  • Make sure to book it in advance when possible by calling the office or using the Campanion App.

Second Seat [When transportation to two locations is needed.]

  • Some of our campers reside in more than one home or need to be picked up or dropped off at a parent’s work location.
  • A “Second Seat” can accommodate those families that require transportation to a second location.
  • A fee of $600 covers an 8-week enrollment period.
  • Please call our office to make sure that we provide transportation to either homes or business locations.
Extended Transportation Hours - Tall Pines Day Camp

Extended Hours [In Lieu of Transportation]

  • For those families that need to get to work a little earlier or won’t be home in time to meet their child’s driver, we offer Extended Hours at camp.
  • Families are welcome to drop off their child as early as 7:30 AM.
  • Campers are welcome to stay as late as 5:30 PM until their family picks them up.
  • You are welcome to use both the AM and PM Extended Hours or just one.
  • If you use only one half of the extended hours program, Tall Pines will provide transportation for the other half.
  • As always, campers are well supervised by Tall Pines staff members.

Self-Transportation

  • For those families that live near camp and wish to drop off and pick up their children, we offer a discount of $40 per week, per camper.
  • If you choose to do either the AM or the PM, a discount of $20 is provided.
  • Campers may be dropped off between 9:00 AM and 9:15 AM and must be picked up between 4:00 PM and 4:15 PM.
